Psychotherapy can help.

Psychotherapy offers you a medium and method through which you can change yourself and your life for the better. Though all psychotherapy requires that you invest your time, effort and money into a process that gives no absolute guarantees, good therapy offers you many opportunities for healing, growing and exploring that other treatments cannot.

While at its roots, every therapy has commonalities which are influenced by your therapist's knowledge and skill, your therapy will be, and should be, unique. What you need, what will work for you, the person you will work best with, is as deeply connected to who you are as who you like or love or hate. It is important for you to use your own instincts, experiences, intuitions and judgments (sometimes judgments are good!) to help you find the right therapist for you.

Unfortunately, most of us enter into therapy with little idea of what is involved. Some people even avoid therapy because of misconceptions or fears about what it is, simplifications, and distortions they may have heard, or important unanswered questions they feel too embarrassed to ask. I have developed this site to help you with these issues, to help give you the information you may need to make informed decisions concerning this very important step in your life.

Explore these pages. Here you will find information about me, about the kind of therapy I provide and about psychotherapy in general. I have tried to provide enough information for you to get a sense of whether working with me is the kind of therapy experience you are looking for.

Feel free to e-mail me with any comments or questions you may still need answered before you begin therapy. Or, if you are ready to take the next step, call me to set up a free initial interview.
